If you have worked in noisy conditions you may be entitled to compensation for loss of hearing caused by noise exposure and be eligible for free hearing aids.
If you are currently working and suffer a 10% hearing loss you may be entitled to compensation of $16,520. If your hearing loss is higher you may be entitled to more compensation
If you have stopped work and have a 10% hearing loss, the compensation sum may be less depending on when you stopped work. If you ceased work many years ago, you may be entitled to compensation if your loss is below 10%
WorkSafe will also pay for hearing aids should you require them.
