amount dependent on your level of cover – contact your fund for details.

Tax Offset
In addition, you may be able to claim a medical expense tax offset for hearings aids. For the current year, the tax offset is 20% of the cost of your hearing aids over $1,500. Further information may be obtained from your accountant or call the Tax Infoline on 13 28 61
Job Access
Job Access is a Commonwealth Government initiative to help people with hearing impairment by funding work-related modifications and services, including hearing aids. If you are eligible, your new hearing aids will be subsidised by the Government.
You must meet ALL of the following:
- Australian Citizen
- Ongoing hearing loss of at least 2 years
- Your hearing loss results in limitation, restriction or impairment that affects daily activities at work
- Employed minimum of 8 hours per week
- Self-employed for minimum of 20 hours per week
- Have a job offer of minimum of 8 hours per week
